Who We Are
The voice of the electrical and communications industry.
NECA - the National Electrical and Communications Association, is the peak industry body representing the interests of the electrical and communications contracting industry across Australia. We have over 6,000 member organisations.
NECA is run by contractors, for contractors, and represents members in all states and territories of Australia. All our board members – at the national and state and territory level, are electrical contractors. And each board has a good mix of small, medium and large enterprises represented. As a result, we understand what our members are looking for in our member services and technical support.
We cater to all types of industry members, from operators working out of their vans to multinational conglomerates and our members work across every facet of the industry including Accredited Service Providers, Data & Communications, Security, Fire, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning, Solar and Smart Wiring.
We own and operate our own law firm, Construction Trade & Industry Lawyers and our own clothing and Personal Protective Equipment distribution business, NECA Industrial Workwear and Safety. These wholly owned businesses operate across Australia in all areas of the construction industry, with the proceeds of their operations being directed back into the Association.
Our Origins
